Macusani's He's a Star

After a visit to WoodsEdge Wool Farm, I was in love with Linda's beautiful and very famous herdsire, Macusani.  That year, I was not able to purchase any alpacas with a Macusani heritage, because there was not one available.  A year later I attended the Sale of the Century.  Imagine my excitement when I came home from the sale with this grey boy, sired by Macusani, aptly named: Macusani's He's a Star

This is what owning alpacas is all about.  Star, like his mother, Shezaten, stands out in the meadow.  Gorgeous conformation, regal and confident.  He's from a line of absolutely proven genetics-- lots of babies and no problems.  Star's medium grey tuxedo marking is almost devoid of color spots.  His dark eyes are stunning.  

Add to this, Star's temperament which is easygoing and very agreeable.  He is a pleasure to manage and very personable.  He can be playful.  He knows in an instant which pocket contains the grain and he will work for it.  It has been a joy to raise him.  First prize in halter Estes Park 2000, First prize in halter Phoenix 2002, ribbon for fleece Estes Park 2001.  This is what you want to incorporate into your herd.  Star has bred 6 females to date.  The first cria is due in November 2002.

Tenango: ARI #: 816676. DOB 11/15/1999. Dam: Aussie’s Halo, Sire: Peruvian Olympus. Bay black. Here is the chance to bring color as well as fiber softness and handle to your breeding program. His fleece placed second (His Olympus half brother took the blue!) at Estes Park 2001 and first at ABR Fall Festival 2001. Tenango’s grandsires include Peruvian Drambuie and Peruvian Leon. This boy bred his first female on the second try!
